Psychologists from 46 Countries to Attend Convention in Cuba

hominis 2016.jpgPsychologists from 46 countries will exchange views on important social issues during the Intercontinental Convention on Psychology, Hominis 2016, which starts on May 11, organizers announced today.

The event will be attended by delegates from Mexico, Brazil, Puerto Rico, United States, Colombia, Spain, Argentina, Chile and Cuba.

alexis lorenzo ruiz cuba cAt a press conference the President of the Organizing Committee, Alexis Lorenzo, said that one of the objectives of the meeting is to visualize the results of the work of Cuban specialists.

The program covers several topics, including Human development and subjectivity; Identity and Diversity; Society, groups, family, gender and generations.

During the convention will take place 26 sub-events, including international symposia on psychology and special educational needs; on addictive behaviors; researches on sexuality; subjectivity and aging.

Another important event will be the International Day for Emergency and Disaster Psychology, which will focus on international aid and the contribution of Cuba to the victims and survivors of the earthquake that recently struck Ecuador.

Sponsored by the Cuban Society of Psychology and the American Psychological Association (APA), among others, Hominis 2016 will be held at the Convention Center in the capital.
