The Cuban Hospital in Dukhan, Qatar, received the Press Ganey National Database of Nursing Quality Indicators (NDNQI) Award for Outstanding Nursing Quality reported today a diplomatic source. A note from the Cuban embassy in Doha said the award was given at a formal ceremony held today in the U.S. city of Orlando, Florida, and received by the Cuban Hector Roche, Chief of Nursing of the hospital belonging to the Medical Corporation Hamad.
The award honors nursing excellence and awards the best performing hospital in each of seven categories. Analysis considers 17 quality measures to evaluate scores by unit type. Using a comprehensive view of performance, it evaluates both patient and health personnel satisfaction aiming at delivering safer, high quality, patient care, reducing suffering and improving patients experience.
The award acknowledges the dedication and commitment of Cuban health professionals in the State of Qatar to providing excellence care as previously evinced by the JCI Accreditation in 2014 and the high levels of acceptance among the Qatari and expatriate population increasingly seeking their services.
