Five progressive Latin American presidents rank among the 10 most popular in the world.
Ecuadorean President Rafael Correa received 79 percent approval, only preceded by Russian President Vladimir Putin. Then came Bolivian President Evo Morales with 75 percent, followed by Uruguayan President Jose Mujica with 65 percent. The sixth and ninth most popular positions are also occupied by progressive Latin American leaders, respectively by Agentine President Cristina Fernandez Kirchner and Chilean President Michelle Bachelet.
On the other hand, the right-wing president of Mexico, Enrique Peña Nieto, registered the sharpest drop of popularity, from 51 percent in October 2014 to a measly 33 percent currently.
